Alison Krauss has been a country artist for more than 30 years. She was born in the city of Decatur on 23rd of July, 1971. Alison Krauss and LeAnn Kymes were the two newest Grammy Award winners. Alison Maria Krauss - born July 23rd 1971 - is an American bluegrass and country singer. She began her career in the industry at an early age competing in local contests before 10, and recording for the first time at 14. After signing by Rounder Records, her first album came out in 1987. She was asked to be a part of Alison Krauss & Union Station together with whom she performed.
