The 2016 Olympics took place at Rio de Janeiro and Biles was the U.S.'s only female gymnast ever to win 4 gold medals. She also claimed the world title for all-around 3 times in succession (2013-15). Biles along with the younger of her sisters Adria was adopted from Ronald Biles as well as Nellie Biles their grandparents in Spring Texas (in the Houston area), grew up there. Simone was introduced to the sport by her daycare instructor Aimee Borman at just six years old. Biles stayed with Bannon's Gymnastix for eleven years. Biles won the floor and vault exercises at the women's Junior Olympic National Championships before getting to the elite competition level in the year 2011. In less than two years, she had become the best in her sport. The thing that set Biles apart was the consistency of her exuberant personality and the extreme level of challenge she integrated into her routines in every event - vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise.
