Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah, an Indian actor and singer is best known for her roles in Tamil as well as Malayalam films. Her first appearance as an actor was in Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam and also made her Malayalam debut with Annayum's Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah is an Anglo-Indian born in Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Her father works as a lawyer for the Madras High Court. Her younger sister is who lives and works at Leuven Belgium as a research assistant. Jeremiah was born in the vicinity of Chennai she graduated from National Public School before graduating from Women's Christian College. Andrea began learning classical piano around the age of eight. While at university, she was a theater artist and performed in a variety of stage shows put on by The Madras Players. Andrea was head of Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Gautham Menon enlisted Andrea to play the lead role after she sang in Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. The film was an adaptation of James Siegel's novel Derailed. It featured Andrea playing Kalyani an aspiring homemaker, whose husband engages in an affair which leads to her being forced to confess. Andrea was chosen for the role following actors Simran Shabana as well as Tabu were offered the role. This film came out in early 2010. She was also invited to take on a minor part in Venkat Prabhu's film with a number of stars Mankatha that was released on August 11, 2011. Annayum Rasoolum which is a romance film produced by Rajeeev R. which was released in 2013, was the actress's Malayalam debut.
